Altered landscapes in the river Oulujoki water course

Webinar 23.5.2023  13-15

The webinar focuses on the landscape change caused by the construction of hydroelectric power after the Second World War.  A lot of landscape values were lost but replaced a high-quality modern industrial environment. Webinar's speeches are based on the memoirs collected in the EU-funded VekuVaku-project in 2019-22, old photographs and archive sources, as well as current documentary material and discussions in village meetings. The webinar language is Finnish.
